iWANT2Ride Cycling News & Information

VeloViewer powered by Strava

We've all used the phrase.. "If is not on Strava it doesn't count".. well VeloViewer is an extension of that. VeloViewer connects to your Strava account to provide insights, engaging visualisations, motivational goals and in-depth analysis.
The ride data, 3D graphs and maps on the iWANT2Ride website are taken from VeloViewer. The annual subscription to the Pro+ version is £20 which is less then a decent pair of cycling socks !

VeloViewer connects to your Strava account and pulls across your activities, segments and routes to provide you with a whole new world of dashboards, charts, 3D graphics, filterable lists, leaderboards, motivational goals along with your up-to-date leaderboard positions on all of the segments you have covered.

VeloViewer has the added benefit of being developed and maintained by an individual (Ben Lowe) and not a corporation. He started it it 2012, and VeloViewer data is used by the cycling pro teams. https://blog.veloviewer.com/about/#History

Hunt Bike Wheels
Light n fast.. they are fantastic !

Before buying my Hunt's I read various reviews online and was totally sold on them.. the only negative I could find is that the freewheel hub is loud.. well I love that.. it's a great alternative to a bell, it works equalling well with careless walkers crossing the road without looking and ambling pedestrians strolling along on cyclepaths.. a quick burst of freewheeling as you approach, they turn their heads and you're good to go ! More details about Hunt Bike Wheels

Velomotion Bike Fit Studio
Before buying my bike I had a bike fit.. and luckily there was a fitter nearby.

As I've found out out the benefits of a bike fit are massive, I mainly had it done to increase comfort, and to help me do longer rides. I have since realised that as well as increasing comfort, there is an increase in speed/power output and efficiency, which all help to reduce fatigue and injury. It was money well spent ! Tanwall Mobile Bike Servicing
A mobile bike servicing workshop in Northampton, which by chance is run by the son of school friend and also a former next door neighbour !

Run by Tom Newitt, he offers a mobile bike service in Northamptonshire and surrounding areas. The convenience of him to you rather then you to the bike shop.. often 20 or 30 miles away.. saves the hassle of loading the bike into the car and dropping it off and waiting.
