Following in the footsteps of icons.. at a much slower pace but who cares !
What a week it's been, culminating in the iconic Mont Ventoux climb. It was tough - insert multiple swear words - the last 7kms were a gruelling 12-15% gradient but I got there one pedal after another.
I led the group up (for a nano second) and I even managed a sprint finish up the final climb !
The descent was brisk and I had a well earned pizza back in Sault.. marks out of ten easily a 100 !
6 wonderful days riding, 28 hours, 502km and 6788 metres of climbing.. stunning !
